Travel through the gorgeous region of Franconia with the day ticket for Franconia-Thuringia region – there's nothing better when you write a blog about Franconia. So, all aboard!
Stop 1: Town
Nuremberg is the second-largest city in Bavaria; you could therefore think that everyone knew all about it. Is that really the case? Let's put it this way, unless you've walked along all 35 stops on the "Historische Meile" (historic mile), you don't really know Nuremberg. Come along on a stroll through the old town!
Stop 2: River
Like Rome, Bamberg was built on seven hills and has a fantastic historic old town centre. It also has the Regnitz river flowing through it. You can take fabulous gondola trips on this river. Row with us past the historic town hall, the cranes and Little Venice – it's definitely worth doing!
Stop 3: Country
A green oasis in the middle of the town – in Coburg that's nothing extraordinary. Since the 18th century, the Hofgarten park has been the ideal place for taking a stroll, relaxing and simply being surrounded by nature. All while being nestled between the Veste fortress and the Schlossgarten palace garden – a beautiful corner of Franconia.
You can see all of this in our video and perhaps start to consider a visit for your next trip. One thing's for sure – beautiful Franconia is definitely worth exploring.
