The Umadum Ferris wheel offers young and old a breathtaking view of the Isar metropolis and the Bavarian Alpine foothills.

Since 14 April 2019, Bavaria's capital city has one more attraction: the gigantic Umadum Ferris Wheel is located in the east of Munich and invites visitors and locals to take off. In the middle of the creative Werksviertel district, the 750-tonne colossus towers between hip workshops, cafés, urban loft offices, art and cultural venues. Exactly where the famous potato dumpling manufacturer Pfanni used to produce Bavarian specialities. With its 78-metre height, the Umadum even holds a Guinness World Record as the largest portable Ferris wheel. In terms of size, it also surpasses the Wiesn Ferris Wheel and, along with the Frauenkirche, the Olympic Tower and the City Hall, dominates the skyline of the Bavarian capital.

Anyone who enters one of the 27 gondolas should be free of giddiness, because a panoramic view of the highest order awaits them: 365 days a year, the view extends from the Allianz Arena to the Bavarian Alps during the 30-minute ride over the rooftops - weather permitting. In addition to the well-known landmarks, visitors can also marvel at some curiosities from lofty heights. A highlight for children and curious adults are the peacefully grazing sheep on the nearby roof of the Werks3. Between bee colonies and flower beds, three dams, four lambs and a ram live on 2,500 square metres as part of the "Stadtalm" nature project, which is considered a beacon project in the field of sustainability and environmental protection. Even if the guests of the Umadum are tempted to count sheep as a result, sleeping is out of the question with this spectacular view.

In addition to the classic Ferris wheel ride, visitors can also choose from a variety of experience packages such as a hearty Weißwurst breakfast at dizzy heights or a guided tour of the city from above with an expert guide. For special occasions, there is also a VIP gondola in which individual wishes can be realised.

Current information, admission prices and opening hours can be found here.

If you're overcome by wanderlust after all the panoramic views, you can let yourself be enchanted by Hawaiian cuisine right next to the Umadum at Aloha Poke in Atelierstraße 12. Here, visitors:inside can choose from countless fresh ingredients and compose and enjoy their individual Poke Bowl.
