Whether mountain hiking, hang-gliding, paragliding or skiing: Everything is possible in the Ammergau Alps. The famous Neuschwanstein Castle is located at the foot of the Tegelberg. But what awaits visitors further up is just as impressive. The Tegelberg cable car takes you to the summit and the Tegelberghaus, the former royal Bavarian hunting lodge of Maximilian II. The almost 800 metre long summer toboggan run is located at the valley station. Travel to Füssen by train, then take the bus in the direction of Schwangau to the Tegelberg cable car.
