Bad Windsheim is easy to reach by rail. The RB 81 Mittelfrankenbahn service connects Bad Windsheim station with Neustadt an der Aisch and Steinach near Rothenburg ob der Tauber. From Nuremberg, change at Neustadt an der Aisch; from Würzburg, you can travel via Steinach.

From Bad Windsheim station, the route leads through the town to the Franconian Open-Air Museum. Allow sufficient time for the walk to the museum entrance and check the current opening hours and admission prices before your visit.
