Have a feast and relax in the Englischer Garten

When it's sunny, people from all nationalities flock to the beer garden at the Chinesischer Turm (Chinese Tower) in the Englischer Garten (English Garden) in Munich. It's an oasis right in the middle of one of the largest city parks in the world, for both families and those looking to enjoy themselves. As you pass the food stalls, you'll catch the tempting aroma of Bavarian delicacies, vegetarian delights and sweet treats. Recommendation from the editors: the fish grilled on a stick. Even on a cloudy day, you can still relax and unwind in the restaurant with its view out towards the tower.
From Wednesday to Sunday from May to September, brass band players provide entertainment just in front of the tower. And every Sunday in the shade of the chestnut trees, you can experience another tradition known as "Weißwurst-Frühschoppen", where people get together and tuck into a morning Weißwurst sausage.
Bus 150, which leaves from Hauptbahnhof Nord (main station north), will drop you off right in front of the entrance of the beer garden.
