Karwendel Nature Information Centre: discovering nature at dizzying heights

When you are 2,244 metres above sea level, there is more to see than just mountain peaks and edelweiss. From the outside, the Karwendel Nature Information Centre resembles a giant wooden telescope, gazing out towards the Isartal valley. But inside it contains Germany's highest environmental exhibition. From Mittenwald station, it's a ten-minute walk to the Karwendelbahn cable car, which takes to straight to the top to the Nature Information Centre.
