Lake Wöhrder in Nuremberg

Many years ago, the artificial Lake Wöhrder was created for one reason in particular: to protect Nuremberg Old Town from flood water. But in the meantime, this reservoir in the middle of the city has become a local recreation area for the people of Nuremberg. You can swim, hire pedal boats and stand-up paddling boards or just laze away the hours.
