This is the highest you can go with any cable car in the Allgäu. Look out from the top of the 2,224-metre-high Nebelhorn mountain and you'll enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view over 400 snow-covered peaks. It's no wonder that the ride to the top is also an experience in itself. Should the mountain air cause you to rustle up an appetite, you can feed your hunger pangs in the Panorama Restaurant. The "400 peak" brunch, served on the first Sunday of every month, is a particular highlight. The valley station is around a 15-minute walk from Oberstdorf station.
Hi! It's me, Bruno the dachshund. This mountain's name means "foggy peak" in German, and an adventure path starts at the cable car station halfway up it. The view from the mountainside is great, but I thought it was it was even better from the kids' viewing station. In the middle of the forest, I looked for information about fairy tales and legends – that really made an adventure out of a hiking trail!
