Christmas in the streets of Ochsenfurt
On 14 and 15 December, Ochsenfurt transforms into one giant Christmas market. It's not just the normal stationary stalls that sell mulled wine, Bratwursts, arts and crafts and so on. You can also buy them in the alleyways, squares, restaurants and cellars.
On the third advent weekend, Ochsenfurt transforms into one giant Christmas market. It's not just the normal stationary stalls that sell mulled wine, Bratwursts, arts and crafts and so on. You can also buy them in the alleyways, squares, restaurants and cellars. For example, in the old Town Hall gallery, you'll see a carpenter selling pepper mills. At the ford, you'll find the Ochsenfurt Carnival Club handing out mugs of "Feuerzangenbowle" (mulled wine punch) and "Drachenblut" (fruit punch). At the marketplace, you'll spot kindergarten children offering gingerbread men and rum truffles. In the Trachtenmuseum, you can buy jewellery. And in the "Ehrenhof" infirmary courtyard, you can buy honey products and white Franconian Glühwein.
