Take a walk through the gardens at Schleißheim Palace in Oberschleißheim

Even though your intention may be to have a gentle stroll, you'll find that your pace will automatically start to quicken in the Court Gardens at Schleißheim Palace. Past fountains and small streams, manicured hedges and colourful flowers – the vast gardens are some of the most prestigious Baroque gardens in Europe. Back then, Elector Max Emanuel wanted to design the palace itself in the style of the palace at Versailles. However, war, financial problems and bad luck spoiled his plans. Nonetheless, Schleißheim New Palace is one of the most beautiful palaces in Bavaria. After the walk you can treat yourself to a chilled beer in the Palace restaurant beer garden, and enjoy the view
