AlpspiX: Floating above the Alps

The AlpspiX viewing platform is an architectural masterpiece made of steel that rises some 13 metres above the rock. From here, you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the majestic Zugspitze, the striking Waxensteine, the imposing north face of the Alpspitz and the picturesque Höllental valley. The glass walkways offer a panoramic view of the entire region and let you experience the feeling of floating in the middle of the Alpine world.

How to reach the AlpspiX viewing platform

You can easily reach the AlpspiX platform via the Alpspitzbahn cable car. Start your journey from Garmisch-Partenkirchen with the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn and the Alpspitzbahn. Travellers with Deutsche Bahn (DB) benefit from a 10 percent discount. The Bayern-Ticket is also valid on the route of the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn (line RB 64) up to and including Grainau, making your journey particularly cost-effective.
