AlpspiX viewing platform - floating between heaven and earth

The AlpspiX viewing platform is a free-floating steel X that towers directly above the Alpspitzbahn mountain station. A thousand metres below you stretches the Höllental valley, while above you lies only the white-blue sky. From the glass walkways, you have an unrestricted view of the Zugspitze, the Waxensteine, the north face of the Alpspitz and down into the valley.

Travelling to the Alpspitzbahn

From Garmisch, you can reach the AlpspiX viewing platform with the Bayerische Zugspitzbahn and Alpspitzbahn cable cars. There is a 10 per cent discount if you travel by DB. Particularly clever: the Bayern-Ticket is valid on the BZB (line RB 64) up to and including Grainau.
