The Spessart Climbing Forest in Heigenbrücken offers a challenge and a special thrill for every age group: the youngest can climb up one and a half metres, while the older ones can jump from 20 metres into the depths on the Treejump.

Heigenbrücken is a pretty climatic health resort in the Spessart Nature Park between Aschaffenburg and Lohr am Main. This place is not only popular with those seeking recreation, but also with families with children and climbing enthusiasts. This is due to the Spessart Climbing Forest. The high ropes course has nine courses, so there is something for every age group. The "Little Wolf" children's course, for example, is only one and a half metres above the ground. Even three-year-olds can conquer twelve elements here, accompanied by an adult. There is also a climbing wall and three rope slides for the youngest.

Of course, there are also more challenging courses that are up to 30 metres above the ground. You want the full action? The Kletterwald in Bavaria offers that too with the "Treejump". First you climb 20 metres up onto a platform with the help of the climbing holds. And then? You jump into nothingness. Several metres in free fall, during which adrenaline bubbles through your body before the safety device gently brakes you. Anyone over the age of 12 can jump

For all those aged 12 and over who want fun and action but prefer to stay on the ground, the Spessart Climbing Forest offers the two fun sports Arrowtag and Bubble Soccer. While Arrowtag is best explained as a combination of dodgeball and paintball, Bubble Soccer involves playing football in air-filled balls with only your legs sticking out. Both activities are ideal events for birthdays or bachelor parties.

The current opening hours vary each month. You can find them and the admission prices on the provider's homepage.

Wild and water

Not only the climbing forest attracts numerous families, but also the neighbouring Bächlesgrund leisure complex is a popular destination for all age groups in the region. On the one hand, the leisure complex includes the game park, where wild boar, fallow deer and red deer can be observed at close quarters. On the other hand, the grounds offer a water play area with streams and a mud zone where the little ones can really let off steam. If you prefer to spend time with the animals, you can also get suitable food for the wild animals from the feeding machines.

If you're hungry, there's a kiosk on the grounds where you can get something to eat and drink. However, the kiosk is closed in winter and if the weather is too bad. Please inform yourself in advance about the opening hours.
