The world of Nuremberg's trading families in the 16th century come alive here. Some of the display exhibits were part of the original furnishings of the small castle. Particularly beautiful in summer – a picnic in the castle's renaissance garden.

The Luitpoldhain park in the middle of the city is an oasis of calm. Whether it's gentle walks, picnics or mini golf matches – you're in the right place here. The Hall of Honour is a popular backdrop for wedding photos due to its impressive architecture.

At the reservoir in the heart of the city, not only can you take wonderful walks, relax and swim, but also rent pedalos and stand-up paddling boards. Afterwards it's off to the Wiesn Biergarten (an Oktoberfest-style beer garden) or a café in the city centre – it isn’t too far.
